The Fondazione Policlinico Universitario “A Gemelli” IRCCS, Academic Medical Center is one of the most important and internationally acclaimed care provider in Italy. It is an academic medical center with over 1,500 beds operating in all areas of health and clinical assistance. It provides state-of-the-art personalized care to approximately 95,000 Inpatients and 250,000 outpatients per year. The Fondazione Policlinico Universitario “A. Gemelli” IRCCS, Academic Medical Center has dedicated services for patients with COPD and ILD, both inpatient and outpatient and including rehabilitative services. The Medical Center is top-ranking center in the national outcome programme for re-hospitalization and 30-day mortality rates for patients with recurrent acute exacerbations of COPD.

Inside the Institution operates a clinical trial center that works as CRO and provides research support and infrastructures for hundreds of clinical studies and trials conducted every year.
