GUMThe Medical University of Gdańsk (GUM) is the largest medical university in northern Poland and is recognized as renowned institution with a long history of teaching and research in the Life Sciences field. MUG educates more than 6000 undergraduate and postgraduate students at 4 Faculties: Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Pharmacy and the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology. The MUG offers Premedical Course, Medicine Doctor Programme, Pharmacy Programme, Nursing Programme which are taught fully in English. University has world class teaching and research staff and state-of-the-art equipment and research facilities. Since 2018 MUG occupies a high position (7th) in prestigious ranking of Polish Universities “Perspektywy University Ranking” which benchmarking aspects such: as high prestige of studies, best chances of graduates on labor market, academic potential and research output.

The university employs more than 1000 scientists, academic teachers and didactic staff. Their key functions, besides teaching, are focused on basic and applied research in different fields of life and medical sciences and their implementation into the clinical practice. Importantly, the university has been awarded the title of the Leading National Research Centre by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education confirming its excellence in research.
